Eight years ago today, 9 year-old Cédrika Provencher disappeared from Trois-Rivières, Quebec. Her family and police are still searching for answers.
Cedrika left home at about 6:15pm on her bicycle to go play with her friends. She was to return home at 7:45pm but did not return. After checking the park and with her friends, it was learned that Cedrika and her friend were approached by an individual claiming to be looking for a lost puppy. Cedrika’s friend left her to look for the puppy. She was last seen at the corner of Descheneaux St. and Chapais St by two women that she approached to ask about the puppy. Cedrika’s bike was found leaned up against a fire hydrant at the intersection of Charpais and Chabanel Streets which is about a 5 minute walk from where she was last seen.
